The (Solar Tour)is the Hawai'i PV Coalition's 4th annual day-long event highlighting homes and businesses implementing renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency. The tour is free to the public and will serve to educate consumers and professionals on the steps they can take to reduce their carbon footprint while promoting environmental awareness.
There will be between 12 to 15 homes and businesses on the tour and the event will incorporate a wide range of renewable technologies, including photovoltaic, solar hot water, wind, green building, and energy efficient appliances. Maui's tour is part of the American Solar Energy Society's 13th Annual National Solar Tour.Maui Contractors Association Home Show June 26th, 2009

National Day of Climate Action April 14th, 2007
Hundreds joined the Hawaii PV Coalition on Baldwin Beach to show their concern for global warming and add support to National Climate Action Day sponsored by Step It Up 2007 (www.stepitup2007.org). Over 1,400 events took place in all 50 states as a wake up call to Congress to cut Carbon Emissions 80% by 2050.
